Minto Street Start/Finish Line (200 Brady Street beside Tom Davies Square) Baggage check available at Tom Davies Square on race morning.

Water Stations & Toilets

Porta potties are located at start/finish line and by water stations along each route, every 2-3km. Water stations will provide water and electrolyte drinks. Gels will be provided at two stations for the second lap of the marathon only.

Event Expo & Race Kit Pick-Up

Saturday May 23 from 9:00am – 3:00pm

All participants must pick up their Race Kit including Race Bibs (with attached timing chip) and T-shirts at the event EXPO. Sponsors and exhibitors featuring apparel, merchandise, massage, fitness, and more will be on site. Participants may send a friend or family member to pick up their kit for them. 

Registration for the Kids 1km race will take place at the EXPO. Note – Kids will not receive a t-shirt.

Marathon Relay Captains (or designate) will pick up their team’s bibs, t-shirts and ankle bracelet at the EXPO. Only one member of the relay must attend the EXPO.

Race Rules 

1km - Participants must be able to complete the course in 15 minutes. This will allow organizers time to prepare for the upcoming events.

5k/10k - Official time limit for the 10k is 2 hours and 15 minutes. All 5k participants will also fall within the 10k time limit. All participants proceeding slower than 13.5 minutes per km may be asked to walk along the sidewalks and obey traffic rules. All 5k and 10k walkers and runners will be allowed to finish the race and receive an official time regardless of their pace.

Half Marathon (21.1km) - Official time limit for the half marathon is 6 hours. This generous time limit allows event access to most levels of walkers. Slower participants may be asked to walk along sidewalks and obey traffic rules.
 
Full Marathon Walk (42.2km) - Official time limit is 8 hours. The course closes at 2:00 pm. Slower participants will be asked to walk along the sidewalks and obey traffic rules. Walkers start at 6:00am and must note that while the roadway is pyloned and all markers are in place, police and marshals are not on duty until 7:45 am. Walkers must obey the rules of the road at crossings until the locations are policed.

Full Marathon Run and Relay - Official time limit is 6 hours. Slower participants may be asked to walk/run along the sidewalks and obey traffic rules.

Marathon Relay Location Information
1. Relay #1 (5.4K) Runs from Start line on Minto St to Lasalle/Starlight intersection (park at Ecole Felix Ontario just off Lasalle on Starlight)
2. Relay #2 (4.6K) Runs from Lasalle/Starlight  to St. Bernadette School 870 Auger St (park in lot at the 2nd school entrance)
3. Relay #3 (6.0K) Runs from St. Bernadette School to First Ave./Bancroft Dr. intersection (park in Credit Union lot)
4. Relay #4 (5.1K) Runs from First Ave/Bancroft Dr. to Minto St/Medina Lane app. 50m after the Finish Line (park in downtown lots)
5. Relays 5-8 repeat on the second loop of the same course 

Prohibited Items:
Pets, animals, skateboards, bicycles, rollerblades, motorized chairs, or any vehicles other than official race vehicles.

Allowed: Baby joggers/strollers (please start at the rear for safety).

Wheelchair Participants: Non-motorized wheelchairs may join the 5K event only. For safety, participants must start at the rear and remain within the pack. Contact race organizers for details. 

Bib Number Requirements

  • Wear your bib with the attached timing chip on the front, outside all clothing.

  • Add medical and emergency contact info on the back.

  • Do not alter or transfer your bib; it must be worn by the registered participant.

  • Marathon Relay participants will be provided with an ankle bracelet. There will be one ankle bracelet per team and the unit will be transferred to different team members at the Relay Stations. These ankle style chips must be returned after the race completion.
